This is a first Welsh phrase book perfect for learning a little Welsh to use on your visit to Wales, or to practice what you are learning between Welsh lessons.
It has 20 themed sections on different topics:
- greetings
- common phrases
- numbers
- telling the time
- days, weeks and months
- food and drink
- travelling
- places
- directions
- illness
- weather
- occupations
- family
- animals
- common verbs
- adjectives
- colours
- countryside
- the National Anthem
- the Lord's Prayer
All phrases are shown in English and Welsh with a recording of how the Welsh is said.
There is a Practice mode where you are shown the Welsh and given the opportunity to see whether you recognise what it means.

You can practice a single lesson or all lessons so far, where the app will speak the English and you answer with the Welsh, or vice versa. 4.1 06/30/2018 This is a completely rewritten version, as the previous version would have stopped working soon. If you have any questions or problems, please use the email facility within the app to give feedback. 4.0 06/27/2017 Really should work properly for all people still running iOS5 - I borrowed an iPad 1 specially to test it. 3.3 01/31/2013 Apologies to iPad users still running 5.x on their device - this release has STILL not fixed all of the problems.
